IMPRESS
Cabinet
This cabinet initially reads as a fixed object, but it changes through the interaction between human and material. Playing with our expectation that furniture is static by showing how material can affect the shape of a product.

MATERIAL DIALOGUE
Impress is an adaptable cabinet which shifts form depending on the placement and number of weights. Add or remove them, and the cabinet responds. It is a constantly redefining its shape.

Impress is constructed from wooden planks held in place by side panels made of high-quality spring steel. The metal’s unique flexibility shapes the cabinet’s form, making it both functional and expressive.
LOCKING MECHANISM
Impress has an integrated locking system. When the weight becomes too heavy, the horizontal shelves automatically lock onto the dividers. Limiting distortion and maintaining structural balance.

IMPRESS
The interactive cabinet that reshapes itself in response to the items placed on its shelves.
